Getting the Word Out

Successful campaigns for public office tell the candidate's story.  Like most stories, my campaign started by introducing myself to people in District 4.  I have shared my personal, professional and political history through mailers, brochures, group meetings and by going door-to-door.  I am grateful for the attention that voters have paid in getting to know me.

We are now starting the next chapter in the story.  This chapter focuses on the issues and what I would do about them.  On Wednesday morning, John Hamilton from ThePineTree.net videotaped an interview with me on our patio.  You will be able to see the interview at the website soon.    In our half hour dialog, I tried to focus on specific approaches to our District's challenges.

Later that morning, I participated in the Prudential's Meet the Candidates lunch.  Their conference room was full and the face-to-face discussion was lively.  Again, I sought to give specific answers to each question.   I think it is important that voters get more than generalities or vague promises.

I think we covered quite a few topics, but I know there are more to discussed.  I would certainly appreciate feedback from fellow bloggers, both about what I have already spoken about and things that still need addressing.

The Prudential folks are hosting their lunch series for all the District 4 candidates as part of their civic commitment to the community.  I personally thank them for their efforts.

Please send feedback to "Write Lee".
