Recreation Part 1 I went out to Frogtown on Saturday for the New Melones Fishing Seminar, sponsored by Glory Hole Sports. They put on a great event with experts sharing their knowledge of fishing the Lake. Of course, there is a raffle with a seemingly endless list of winners. I have been to a lot of sports shows, but this one keeps me coming back. Yes, the lunch probably has something to do with it also. I bought a new rod and reel just for kokanee, a landlocked form of Sockeye salmon. I've heard that they are best eating fish in the Lake. I also bought some fishing tackle just for kokanee from Glitter Bugs, a local hardware manufacturer. Tomorrow, some fishing buddies and I will go out on the Lake to learn a bit about using all this new equipment. On Wednesday, we plan to put it all together on our own. Is there are message here? Get trained, practice, and then apply. Sounds like education, experience and application -- just might be the right combination for a new Supervisor from District 4! What do you think? Please let me know your thought: "Write Lee". |
