Campaign Stops

As I have mentioned before, I really enjoy making new acquaintances as I go from door to door. Another pleasure has been reconnecting with individuals from the past.

I spent much of my business career traveling for my companies. I certainly enjoyed the opportunity to visit new and sometime exotic places. Meeting people from different countries and life experiences, broaden my understanding of our world and its diversity. One downside of so much travel is that it is easy to lose contact with individuals. So it is great when our paths cross again.

I had that pleasure on Sunday when I met with a former colleague at HP. Of course, we caught up on the time since our retirements and a few mutual acquaintances. But most of conversation focused on the campaign. I was gratified that he had chosen to support my candidacy. His decision was based, it turns out, on my campaign theme of a "time for change".
