Preparations

A lot of today activities involved preparations for the Italian Heritage Day. Citizens for Seaton will have a booth at the event. We are using a portable sun shade for the booth, so we made sure we knew how to set it up -- with the wind blowing steadily, it was a bit of a challenge. Come by and see the results.

I also had campaign events during the day which is always nice I as get to talk with people about their concerns. In the evening, Marilyn and I shared some pizza with four Italians from Lucca who were visiting our friend Bob Barsanti. They had just been to Yosemite and Tahoe. We invited them to stay over to attend our Italian Heritage Day, but their flights required them to return to San Francisco before the weekend.

It would have been a real treat to have them participate in our celebration of Italian/American culture and history. Well, perhaps next year.
