Reflections on Irish Days and Signs

I had a great time walking up and down Main Street in Murphys on Saturday morning after a great breakfast at the Foothills Restaurant.  Volunteers and vendors were setting up amidst some pretty variable weather -- it reminded me of the Murphys Hotel chili cook-off weather.  Got to meet a number of people who were also out early.  It certainly was encouraging to have so many accept campaign buttons to wear.

I noticed that Ron Klass had a campaign banner up at his store, but did not see any other candidates'.  Of course, our sign on the donkey fence looked really nice.  The latest edition of the Greenhorn Creek newsletter correctly noted that California State law protects the Freedom of Speech rights of home owners to display non-commercial signs on their property.   We're keeping track of where our signs are going so we remove them immediately after the election.  Please let me know if you see a sign that needs replacement.
