Grassroots democracy builds from the bottom up, not from the top down. Individuals working in small groups are the foundation of American democracy. Face-to-face meetings bring neighbors and stakeholders together to exchange ideas and to drive toward consensus. At the grassroots, life's focus is on practical solution to real challenges.
