County Government Over-sight Our County government is deeply involved with our basic public services: public safety and health, roads and transit services, and taxation and financial management. These infrastructures support our economy, our environment, and the overall quality of our lives. It is also the responsibility of County government to plan ahead for the County's future growth, and safeguard the rights of existing residents and taxpayers in the process. Unfortunately, for a long time, County government has not done a good job in either managing the rapid growth we've seen or planning for the inevitable impacts, and as a result our quality of life is in trouble. Where are the financial reserves that should have been created during the recent growth? The Board of Supervisors has over-sight responsibilities to insure that the public trust is being safeguarded and that public resources are being properly managed and maintained. Communicating, negotiating, building trust after years of mistrust, and finding common ground will be difficult, and leadership at the County level is crucial, and long overdue.
"I'm running for Supervisor because changing times require a change in leadership." -- Lee Seaton
